Idk .. . almost $6K a year seems to rich for me.

If I buy a vehicle and keep it 3 to 5 years I generally can do it for $2,500 to $3,500 a year.

Re: Opinions on this 2017 GMC Acadia All Terrian Lease

My 2017 Terrain Denali stickered at $42,700.00. 6cyl - AWD & all options.

$350/down. $343.10/mo for 39 months 10k miles per year.

Received a $300.00 Costco gift card thus making true down payment $50.00.

Quite, quite pleased! Leased in mid-November of 2016.

Curious, did you (OP) lease the Acadia? How do you like it thus far?

According to the window stickers on the Terrain/Acadia. The Acadia gets betters gas mileage...Despite it being a bigger SUV.

And I made sure they were the same engine/Drive terrain
Both were 3.6/V6 and AWD

Yet the sticker showed the Acadia getting better gas mileage

Two different 3.6 engines possibly and does the new Acadia get the 8 speed transmission?

Don't know. . . so check out all the specs and see.

Doesn't sound very good to me. But then again, I never lease a car....

Re: Opinions on this 2017 GMC Acadia All Terrian Lease

I see the 2017 Acadia gets the new LGZ 3.6L V6 engine (with AFM), but they still are using the old 6T70 six speed transmission.

But the Acadia is now 700 lbs lighter? Looking at it, it seems about the size of the outgoing Terrain. Now wonder the MPG is up 1 MPG.

Indeed, the 2017 GMC Canyon gets the same LGZ 3.6L engine, BUT also gets the new 8L45 Eight Speed Transmission.!

Agree. Too rich for me, too.

But here's where I'm coming from:

My costs per year (month) currently look like this:

2011 Equinox 1LT, $20,700 OTD: $3312 ($276) ... will eventually drive this number down to $1400 ($115)

2002 Impala 1LT, $12,200 OTD: $827 ($69) ... $5500 on GM Card created low purchase price

1997 Taurus GL Wagon, $15,500 OTD: $808 ($67) ... leftover purchased in early '98

.... and I've never leased, either, but if my Nox was a lease, I guess at 6.25 years now, I'd be just starting my 3rd lease, so I'd be driving a brand new 2017 Nox with possibly the same $276 payment. So outwardly, the lease looks better - to this point, but now ownership will win out going forward... and that's not even counting the mileage restrictions on the lease, OR the money I could get back by selling my Nox ($9800 private party, best case scenario)

2011 Equinox 1LT (new Jan 2011): Summit White / 3.0 L V6 / FWD / Pioneer Stereo / 18" Wheels / 108+k miles (June 2017)

2002 Impala 1LT (new Jun 2002): Summit White / 3.4 L V6 / FWD / Cassette-CD Combo /202+k miles (June 2017)

Re: Opinions on this 2017 GMC Acadia All Terrian Lease

Exactly. . . when I said it generally has cost me $2,500 to $3,500 a year for vehicle ownership, that is the average of yearly cost along with the resale value after 5 to 7 years of ownership. That $3,500 was only on one car I kept for just over a year because I could trade it and get a super deal on the next car.

I just sold my 2010 Colorado and even after buying a truck cap, running boards, and new tires; it still only cost me $2,550 average per year. . .. not counting gas, oil, other operating costs.
