Timing Chain/Excessive Oil Issues-2013 Terrain

Are these typically covered under the powertrain warranty ....I have 55,500 MILES on it...the warranty is good until the end of the year plus I have another warranty (not sure what it covers) until the end of next year....

My car completely died last night and I had to have it towed. Very loud cluncking noises then it just died and wouldn't even start...waiting very anxiously for the dealership to call!! Please help!!!

Engine should be covered. Timing chain is in the engine and thus covered.

are there any stipulations a all? I bought it used from not a GMC dealership...I looked online and found something saying that only years 2010-2012 are covered for these defects....I guess as long as I still have the warranty, i'm good?

4 or 6 cyl.

But I believe it is covered under the 100,000 powertrain warranty.....

unless they find that the oil level was super low and or a filter fell apart and clogged passages= oil starvation. (if its the filter--- then you have to take it up with the filter manufacturer--- unless its an AC DELCO filter)

Agreed, this might be my last GM ever. Its my own fault though, I barly did ANY research on this car before I bought it, so I take full resonsibility for it. But still, GM is neglecting this transmission issue.

My glove box is FILLED with recall& "If you have this issue bring it in" letters.

ridiculous....I don't believe there is any recall for this issue though that I'm aware of. I think there was a technical bulletin that was issued.

still waiting to hear back from the dealership, my nerves are shot waiting for the "you owe us $4000 in repairs" call....

Let's get this straight. You just got an oil change at pep boys and it died in their parking lot?
If that is the case, you might want to direct your anger at pep boys??
