My dealer told me the same thing yesterday.  I'm told my Terrain will be here mid next week.  Looks like I need to pay an extra grand on this puppy!  I've watched these incentives come and go since I ordered it in November....very depressing!

After a few hours of hard dealing (yeah, I'm kinda sick that way...  Grin )  I was able to negotiate a $33,100 LTZ down to $31,166.

I had a lot of factors on my side though, so I wouldn't call it a normal deal.
 - We actually made the purchase during a blizzard, so we were the only sale that day for a large dealership
 - The dealership owner had promised me the particular 'Nox when he wouldn't sell it to me 3 weeks ago due to low inventory.
 - It was the end of the month and they were only a few sales away from goals.

I then added a $3000 GM card rebate, and the $1000 loyalty (This is my 7th Chevy, they most definitely owe me loyalty!  HA HA!)  And had $600 equity in a trade in.

The final price was good enough for me to do something I normally don't do, which was to buy an extended bumper to bumper warranty.  I added an 8 year 85000 mile warranty for $1400.  Normally we put barely 10,000 miles a year on any vehicle so this is a great warranty for us.

Anyway, the final bill for our LTZ with Nav/Entertainment and Sunroof was around $28,500.

^ Ditto... mine was well over $40,000 and I didn't order it with the $1,700 rear seat entertainment or the $3,345 navigation system (apparently non-metropolis coverage in Canada sucks).  I might have gone with the NAV if it was less than $2,000, just for the 'gadget' factor.  Heck, I don't even own a TomTom or other such navigation toy so why spend over $3,345.

A GMC Terrain for almost $50,000?  I would have bought an Infiniti FX35 instead!

I don't even think you can get an SLE-1 for $28,000 up here.

I was surprised at the deal we got with the $2123+ in GM Card Earnings that were subtracted from our bottom line.

If you read all of the fine print you should have only been able to use $1000 GM Card earnings on a Terrain (regardless of Bonus Earnings).  Owner Loyalty Cash could not be applied on the Terrain and GM Supplier is not supposed to be used with either discount!  So, if your dealer sold you the Terrain with their sales price as the GM Supplier Price (without submitting it that way) you could use GM Card Earnings.

That is why we went into the dealership on 2/1 to lock in a deal and do our paperwork knowing that our Terrain won't be here until next week.

I still have no idea how the dealer came up with the GM Card Earnings discount that they did as I only had $580.09 banked on the card in the first place and $2123 is greater than the ~$1419.91 in Bonus Earnings they gave me through 2/1.

Weird!  Hopefully, those of you with Terrains on the way will get some discounts soon!  Hard to say with the uptick in sales and the spring selling season upon us.

The dealer wasn't budging on the MSRP but they threw in some incentives.

SLE-1 Summit White Terrain - 25,010 MSRP
-1000 Conquest for me driving an Infiniti

I was able to negotiate 700 more than their original trade-in offer ( which was already exactly at KBB-trade in for excellent condition. ) so that was as good as 700 off MSRP in my mind.

They also added in some Pro-pack care package that's a 5 year coverage on the paint exterior and upholstery inside.  (think it's that teflon application)

Lastly they threw in a 'green' package which was free oil change, tire rotation, nitrogen filled tires, rain-x application, and I think some other little things.

Nothing crazy, there just aren't any real 'deals' out there on these right now that I've seen.  But it was good enough for me.

We recently purchased a Mocha Steel Metallic with Jet Black Cloth SLE-2 with Convenience Package, 18 inch wheels, and Nav System for 26882 + TTL (27882 - 1000 Acura Conquest Incentive).  Total out the door was 28855.2  This was an order and not purchased on the lot which is why I expected we were able to receive any discounts off price.

This was purchased in Dallas, TX.

Ordered mine today.  SLT-1 AWD 4 cyl. Quicksilver Metallic with the Chrome Appearance package as the only option I wanted. Last weeks price was 30,445.00 but same order today was 30,090.00 from the same dealer. But no incentives except what is available when it arrives in 4-6 weeks except the 1st oil change is free.
We shopped at so many different dealers for 4 weeks looking for a deal but none out there that we could find.  The price is not a steal but I guess this is the best I can do, as this is the only vehicle we were considering. I just hope for big incentives when its delivered.
Ordered from N. Cincinnati.

I ordered mine and got a great deal, but I happened to stop by another dealership here in Southern Calif, to show the car to a friend, and they had a 2k mark up on the Terrain because of how hot its selling or so they say,  and the salesperson knew nothing on the car saying they were built in Texas and they were opening up new lines to build more cars... I just laughed and walked away from him..

Another month, and my car should be here...

What do you mean by "Chrome Appearance Package"?

He said he ordered an SLT-1 so I was wondering whether chrome was an option in the US.

I was wondering that as well.  According to the trim chart, its standard on the SLT-2 and LTZ, but is not listed as an option on any other trim.

You can buy chrome door handles, a chrome gas door and I believe chrome side mirror covers.  So maybe the "Chrome Package" is the pieces you can buy open market just bundled.

It was on option on my Canadian ordered 2LT, I tried to delete it after my order went in and it didnt take. Go the GM Canada website and build an Equinox there. You will get the option for "Chrome appearance package" ....also includes rear parking sensors.

2010 GMC Terrain SLE2 w/convenience package

MSRP: $27,135
Paid: $25,454 w/USAA discount and Credit Union supplier price
Negative equity: $552
TTL: $945.39

Total out the door: $27,732.95

Not too bad at all considering NO DEALERS within 300 miles were taking credit union discount and/or USAA. Overall, happy with the price for our trade and the price for the Terrain.
